Thought for the Day
We're all chickens...
In so many different ways, this statement is so very very true. This page is all about owning our chicken-ness and getting past it all at the same time. And written with irreverence. Alaqueen, my rubber chicken, has so much wisdom to share and so little time.

So, if you're up for the "Chicken Factor" check back often. I'm sure there will be a few new eggs laid every once in a while. And Alaqueen is always looking for inspiration. So if you have punny nuggets for her, send them over!

From the Desk of Alaqueen Chicken:
  • It is important to carry around a rubber chicken with you in your bag or purse or car. You have to remind yourself to have fun. Because after all, what's funnier than a rubber chicken?

  • Get past your bad chicken self! A little fear is good. Obsessing about the "what if" will only run you ragged around the coop.

  • Chickens know how to scratch for food and lay eggs and not much else. What makes you so special that you think you have to know everything? Get over it and let people help you!

Other Stuff
The Four Bitchin Babes I had the opportunity to meet an amazing group of musicians called Hormonal Imbalance at the eWomen Network conference in 2006. They recorded this song titled "Oh No!" that I encourage you to listen to. I dare you to not identify with this song! If there were an anthem for the phrase "everything has a place and everything is in its place," this is it! These women are phenomenal! They live in the four corners of the USA and are very successful artists in their own rights. They come together to perform for events on occasion and have a joy in their music that will have even the most stern businessperson smiling and tapping their toes.

After you have listened to this excerpt, please do them the honor of going to their website (http://www.fourbitchinbabes.com) and buying one or several of their CDs. I'm sure you'll find something that will appeal to you or one of your relatives.
