It’s been a magnificent year and it’s all because of you! So many of you are treasured friends as well as valued clients and have been there for me as my business grew by leaps and bounds in the past year. Thank you! Because you’ve shared your support with me, I wanted to impart some of my vast knowledge with you. In my journey as a professional organizer, I’ve seen it all! Hopefully, some of these tidbits and insights will help you in your business and personal lives to grow and prosper and still have Room to Breathe.

The Hard Work Pays Off!

Room to Breathe is proud to be recognized as the Metro Chamber of Commerce
2006 Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year.

Missed Spring Cleaning? We’re Here to Help.

It’s July. School’s out and the kids are home. It’s time to get ready for summer – BBQs, relaxation and that vacation to Hawaii. There’s just one problem…

…you missed spring cleaning and a threat looms. The threat of being buried in a pile of schoolwork and leftover tax forms. Room to Breathe will help you find those BBQ tools.

We treat a Residential Organization much like we treat our other services. We start off by asking you what 2-3 areas of your house frustrate you the most. From that, we do an in-depth interview and provide a laundry list of solutions.

What if your problem area has to do with all of the final projects your kids bring home from school? We’ll help you come up with a system to store and organize your child’s artwork and projects.

Or maybe it’s the garage and you just can’t seem to find what you’re looking for or you don’t have room to park your car where it belongs. We’ll come in and assess the situation. We’ll go through all of the “stuff” and categorize it, so we can put it away or donate it. We will find a nice, neat “home” for the things you choose to keep. We’ll get the garage organized, so you can move your car back in.

No matter what areas of your house need to be organized, Room to Breathe is here to help. We will organize your problem areas and make sure that the system we set up works for you, keeping you and your home neat and organized.

Connecting the Dots – Being Organized Does Not Mean You Have OCD

Has your stapler gone AWOL on your own desk? Do you feel buried up to your neck in stacks of paper?

If you can’t seem to find the top of your desk, chances are you’re not consistently getting a lot of clients through the door. Customers keep coming back because – more often than not – they love the service they receive. They aren’t just satisfied with it, they love it. And the best way to provide great service is to stay on top of things and be organized.

That does not mean you have to be obsessive-compulsive. You don’t have to flip the light switch 10 times on and 10 times off or say a specific prayer before entering or leaving a room. It’s much simpler. All it means that you have to have a plan in place for everything, so there’s no questions; if a temp worker walked into your office today, they could step right in and do the job just by looking at the office manual.

You want your business to grow and succeed and to take it to the next level; your internal processes need to be recorded so the message and delivery remain consistent. Everyone in the office, from the office manager to the intern needs to know where the office supplies are kept and if the person responsible isn’t around, how to re-order them. Once business owners have the “how” documented, they can move on to hiring the right people and making better strategic business decisions, both of which affect the bottom line. It’s all just a matter of “connecting the dots.”

What is Organizational Assessment?

The mountain of papers on your desk is overwhelming. Your office is a maze of desks and bookshelves, making it hard to get your work done.

Spend more of your time running your business and less of it sorting through the stacks of paper to find your office supplies list. Don’t turn yourself into a lab rat, trying to navigate the maze that is your office. Let the sense of relief wash over you when you find out how to clear away all of the dead trees you’ve accumulated.

A new way of working awaits you with a Room to Breathe Organizational Assessment. This is just the start. Soon, you’ll be able to transform the storage room that was passing as your office into a real “big boy” office, getting rid of the clutter and dealing with the inefficient use of space.

During an in-depth, 2-hour interview, all of your organizational – or dis-organizational – secrets will be laid on the table. We will discuss your physical space – or lack of physical space. We will figure out what organizational tools work for you and which ones don’t. Every office has papers flying in and out, all day, every day. We’ll find the best way to deal with all of the paper and work out a filing strategy that works for you.

Every home or business office is unique, so each and every Organizational Assessment is set up to fit that specific business situation, with an easy-to-follow, and more importantly, easy to accomplish format.
